I have 5 stars because this location is middle of nowhere, a total wilderness near Arctic circle. Driving in winters is incredibly hard on this road but this place provides running water, toilets, heated rooms, wi-fi and hot food.

My wife and I, stopped for both lunch and dinner,at Yukon River Camp, Thursday September 11 th, on our excursion to the Arctic Circle, with Northern Alaska Tour Company. The camp is an oasis on the Dalton Highway! Both lunch and dinner were good. The chili and their burger are both very good. It is a clean and comforting break on the Haul Road!!!

I was expecting crappy food and crappy service, the kind you find in a captive market where you have nowhere else to go. I was completely wrong! All the staff were super friendly and helpful. I had a burger and it was delicious! Everything was fresh and well prepared. the restaurant is clean and well kept. The restrooms were a welcome sight. I recommend that you stop, say hello, have a bite and a break! No, I'm not a local, I was just passing through and want to give credit where credit is due!

We stopped at Yukon River Camp during our tour to the Arctic Circle sign, and it was the perfect break along the way. This is the only food stop on the route, so it’s a must-stop—and honestly, it didn’t disappoint. The food was warm, filling, and exactly what you need after hours on the road. One of the highlights was the gas station covered in stickers from travelers all over the world—super cool and fun to look at while stretching your legs. It really adds character and shows how many adventurers have passed through. If you’re heading toward the Arctic Circle, Yukon River Camp is a necessary and memorable stop for food, fuel, and a unique roadside experience. Definitely worth it!

just a stop along the Dalton Highway to Artic Circle. Brought food so did not buy any but very clean, bathrooms as well. Small gift shop also. Couldn't believe to run into someone with connections to home state in towns close to me. Katherine was a pleasure to chat with

This was our first trip to Alaska and we were driving up to Coldfoot for the day. We stopped to top off our gas and get a soft drink, and use the bathroom. The staff was so nice. He told us we could bring our soda mugs in to fill them up. The bathrooms were so clean. There is a small gift shop. On our way back to Fairbanks, we decided to stop in for dinner. We both had cheeseburgers that were delicious. The zucchini fries were so good!! Again, the staff was great when we came back through. The dining area is very clean. This is such a great stop and a great break after driving the Dalton Highway.

Given that this is, as far as I can tell, the only stop between Fairbanks and the Arctic Circle that serves food, the dinner was delicious and the prices surprisingly reasonable. And the employees were very friendly. We also enjoyed strolling down to the bank of the Yukon River.
